You Are Here

Right here · right now

Let this place introduce itself.

A beautifully researched guide to what is beneath your feet—its stories, language, weather and details worth looking up for.

Your coordinates are used for this short-lived research request. They are not put in a location history or the downloaded guide.

How location and research work

01

One deliberate request

You Are Here asks the browser for a single foreground location fix only after you choose the location button. There is no background tracking.

02

Short-lived coordinates

The server uses coordinates for this research request and does not return them in the guide, put them in its URL, or add them to the seven-day downloaded copy.

03

Named, replaceable services

User-triggered research uses Nominatim to resolve the place, Open-Meteo for conditions, and Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons for context and imagery. Raw coordinates are never sent to the model.

04

Evidence-first narration

The agent receives an attributed evidence pack, not your raw location. Its structured output is restricted to those sources and falls back to deterministic copy if the AI service is unavailable.
